THE QUEENSLAND SUSTAINABLE SCHOOLS WEBSITE LAUNCHED

The Queensland Sustainable Schools website was officially launched recently. The website will help schools measure, monitor and reduce their resource use. It is part of a larger department strategy to reduce the carbon footprint of state schools through programs such as the Solar and Energy Efficiency in Schools programand the Earth Smart Science Schools program. 

Bulimba State School principal Michael Zeuschner, in his role as Principal Champion for the Year of Environmental Sustainability, will visit schools throughout Queensland to increase awareness and understanding of environmental sustainability issues.
