BABYSITTING FIRST AID EDUCATION SESSION

by MOTHER KNOWS BEST

Do you have a teenager, grandparent, relative or friend that babysits your child?

Would they know what to do in a possible life-threatening emergency?

After the success of the first Babysitting First Aid Education Session Mother Knows Best is excited to announce the next session for the 24th March. This 3 hour session is designed to teach basic first aid skills to teenagers, grandparents, friends and relatives who may be responsible for the care of babies and children. The session will provide the knowledge, practical skills and confidence for carers to manage everyday emergency situations.

First class training will be provided by a St John's Ambulance qualified trainer. Some of the information and skills covered will be CPR, the management of choking, bleeding, head injuries, burns, bites, poisoning and much more.

Todays busy families are often supported by teens and grandparents who help provide care. With the majority of accidents happening in the home it is so important that the people caring for our children have the skills to be able to do so with confidence and the education to provide emergency care when needed.

This workshop style presentation is designed to meet the requirements of these carers in babysitting situations.

The three hour presentation will be held on the 24th of March at the Kawana Family Centre, Iluka Street, Buddina. Starting at 9.30 am and costs $75. Places are limited so book early. Participants will be provided with a workbook, certificate of attendance and morning tea.
