NEW CHANGES TO THE CALENDAR IN 2012

Parents and students might like to take a look at the changes that will take place to Queensland holidays from next year.

There will be an extra public holiday when Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day fall on a weekend; student free days wont be spread across state school terms three are being shifted to create a two-week
break at Easter; and the Queen's birthday holiday will be moved from June to the first Monday in October.

A special one-off holiday to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee will be held in June 2012.
