THE 'FUTURE WAS BACK' AT THE CALOUNDRA EVENTS CENTRE AS ANDREA DALTON'S DANCE DYNAMICS DANCE SCHOOL TOOK TO THE STAGE

As they say in the classics - "When the going gets tough, the tough get going" and there was plenty of evidence for this recently at the Caloundra Events Centre!

For many of us, 2008 has been challenging for a variety of reasons.  However, it is how we react to the challenges that makes the difference. 

Andrea Dalton, the Principal for close to three decades of one of the Coast's best known dance studios, has remained positive in the face of health issues that emerged late this year.  Andrea has been well supported by her wonderful family, dance studio staff, students, parents and friends.  In particular, her talented daughter, Heidi, stepped up to the plate to make sure that the annual concert would go ahead without a hitch.  In Heidi's words "I heard someone say once, 'Family isn't about whose blood you've got; it's about who you care about'.  And after the last couple of months, I can honestly say I agree with them.  The dance school community isn't necessarily united by blood, but it is certainly united by care."

This made the weekend's concert at the Caloundra Events Centre, entitled 'The Future is Back", all the more special.  The appreciative audiences were entertained by the tiniest tots in tutus; amazingly choreographed swing tap and hip hop medleys, funky jazz beats and groovy costumes.  Well done to each and every one one of you involved in such a fabulous production.  We certainly wish you all a wonderful, well-deserved break and a bigger and better 2009.
