AUSTRALIAN GENERAL PRACTICE TRAINING

 

Applications are now open for the Australian General Practice Training program (AGPT) for doctors who wish to specialise in a career in general practice and/or rural and remote medicine.

 

AGPT is a vocational training program delivered regionally across Australia.  Training starts in early 2010 and may require a three or four year commitment.  Training is undertaken in hospitals, urban and rural practices and provides oppotunities for a variety of learning experiences under quality supervision.

 

Financial incentives are available for eligible registrars.  Successful completion of the AGPT program leads to Fellowship of RACGP and or ACRRM.
