UNIVERSITY OF THE SUNSHINE COAST STUDENTS AIM TO KEEP OTHER

 STUDENTS FIT AND HEALTHY

Thanks to funding from the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing, two USC Nutrition and Dietetics students have undertaken to put together a new cookbook to help other students afford a healthy, tasty diet on a budget.

Dana Craven and Holly Ambrose have been holding cooking demos with free taste tests and recipe handouts at the Uni in preparation for the launch of their 36-page cookbook, which will be distributed free to students when Semester 2 starts in July.  The cookbook will include a full range of recipes that are nutritionally-based, easy to make and fully costed, from sweet apricot drops to veggie pancakes and gluten-free dishes.  Also included are shopping and cooking tips.

Anyone interested in Nutrition and Dietetics as a career should take a look at the Uni's website at www.usc.edu.au

Enrolments are now open for Semester 2 at USC.  For more info call (07) 5430 2890.
