SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMS ON THE SUNSHINE COAST
There is a vast array of programs happening on the Sunshine Coast this holidays (Organisations are listed alphabetically):
Art Gallery Activities 
The Sunshine Coast Art Galleries are a great place to find creative activities for our coastal youth.  Noosa Regional Gallery holds art workshops - for more info go to http://www.noosaregionalgallery.org/calendar/index.html.  Caloundra Regional Gallery has a focus on education and activities include tours, workshops and programs such as ArtScool.  For more information go to http://www.caloundraregionalgallery.org.au/education.html

Ginger Factory
The Ginger Factory at Yandina features 'Who's Been Naughty or Mice?" (animated Xmas displays) for the Xmas holidays from 9.30 am daily until 24 December.  Cost is $6 or $3 with the purchase of another ticketed tour and under three years of age are free.  For more info go to www.gingerfactory.com.au

Kelly Sports
Kelly Sports Sunshine Coast is proud to announce our SPORTS & ACTIVITIES orientated holiday program designed for children to emphasise fun, enjoyment and maximum participation for guests, visitors & local residents at The Crowne Plaza, Pelican Waters, Rydges Oasis Resort and Noosa Springs.  DATES: MONDAY 12th December 2011 to FRIDAY 20th JANUARY 2012 (excluding public Holidays, Saturday & Sunday).  Some of the sports & activities included on a daily basis by our experienced coaches include. Also included will be games that all kids love to enjoypenguin ten pin bowling, egg & spoon races, sack races etc along with a swim in the resort pool and even a movie session or two. New programs including Ninjutsu & Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts sessions, masterchef cooking & even Indoor Bowls sessions! Noosa Civic
Noosa Civic features a whole range of activities that are designed to entertain the children.  For example, this Xmas there is Santa's Grotto (see mice and elves at work in Santa's special grotto, cooking up a storm), Sand Wizard (create a colourful work of art with sand and take it home).  For more info call (07) 5440 7900.

Nutworks - Chocolate Making Workshops Dip into NUTWORKS this School Holidays and learn the art of making your own hand-made chocolates.  Choose your own chocolate mould from a vast selection of moulds including butterflies, racing cars, fairies, dragons, dinosaurs, hearts and many more. Story Telling
Your local library offers free book readings throughout the term and during the school holidays. (Please note some times may vary from those listed).  There are also lots of other activities such as craft workshops.

Selected libraries are also soon to house Y-Shops which are designed to provide young people with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills and build confidence.  Run by young people between the ages of 10 and 25 with an interest in selling their original art work, they will be open from 9.30 to 11.30 am on Saturday mornings in the summer holidays.  For more info go to library.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au
Sunshine Castle, Bli Bli
A fun and educational School Holiday Program including pottery classes and circus school is run during the holidays and school groups regularly attend the Castle for medieval workshops and visits.Click here for more info.
