An honours degree offers you the opportunity to continue your undergraduate studies at a higher level, specialising in your area of interest. Associate Degree in Arts
Program duration: 2 years full-time or equivalent part-time

The Associate Degree in Arts is an alternative entry pathway that offers guaranteed entry to the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Science at USC. You will gain a broad education that is equivalent to the first two years of an undergraduate degree, and will have the opportunity to specialise in two arts areas.
If you satisfactorily complete the Associate Degree in Arts, you will be guaranteed entry to either the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Social Science, and will receive up to two years of credit. Entry to another Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences degree program may also be possible, but will require consultation with the Faculty.

Bachelor of Communication

This program equips you with knowledge and skills for counselling in the human services industry. Courses present a contemporary approach to counselling based on ethical and professional conduct. You are introduced to a range of counselling theories and practices, including specialist areas such as trauma, crisis and bereavement counselling. You also undertake professional placements in human services agencies with qualified counsellors.

Diploma of Community Services Work / Bachelor of Social Science

This diploma provides skills and knowledge for workers involved in service delivery, either directly with clients or via health promotion and community development projects. Graduates have an understanding of indigenous culture and history and are able to work with local communities in the provision of services. Graduates may also have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers. You may undertake certificate-level study at some campuses in the first year. The bachelor component provides a complementary theoretical grounding in social sciences.
Combined or inter-faculty programs, offer you the opportunity to obtain skills in two different but complementary areas, broadening your career opportunities and earning two degrees in a shorter period of time than if you were to study the programs separately.
