Advanced Diploma in Counselling
Our courses in the welfare area of study are nationally accredited courses and therefore professionally recognised throughout Australia.
The Certificate IV in Counselling may be undertaken as a full-time course over 1 year; the Advanced Diploma in Counselling takes 2 years as a full time course; required college attendance however is only fifteen hours a week. Both courses have the option of part time study.
The Certificate IV provides students with fundamental interpersonal communication skills, core counselling skills and an introduction to a variety of issues related to work in the welfare area.
The Advanced Diploma offers a wide range of options in more specialised areas. Graduates will be capable of working competently and effectively in the welfare sector. To obtain the Advanced Diploma qualification one must have completed a total of 15 core subjects and four electives, part of which is completed as the Certificate IV in Counselling.
All courses are delivered by qualified experienced tutors in face to face classroom sessions in Maroochydore.
