Financial Planning and Investment Workshop

E-Commerce2 - How to get the most from your website

This workshop is for people who currently have a website and want to use what they currently have more effectively without spending a lot of money. Many online marketing strategies are discussed in this workshop and people are given simple and effective hints, tips and strategies to make their websites work. The workshop will be held on 18 February between 6.00 and 9.00 pm at Level 2, Sunshine Coast Centre, 12 Innovation Parkway, Birtinya. Cost is $44.00. Harmony Workshops

Fun workshops learning how to produce uplifting harmonies using your voice are being conducted by Brian Martin's 'Joy team' of facilitators. No singing or musical experience is necessary and each event features a new theme such as African, World Music and Gospel. Workshops are being held at Noosa, Nambour and Maleny. How to Be Seen In Search Engines

This workshop is for people interested in creating a website and the best process to use. The workshop will identify potential pitfalls along the way, the right questiosn to ask, costs to expect and how to design a website that meets the needs of your business. S.O.S. Workshop - Support for Carers

This workshop aims to help those who care for someone affected by substance use or mental illness, through education and support. Writers' Workshop

The Sunshine Coast Literary Association is conducting a two day workshop with Pam Hardgrave entitled "Recipe for a Short Story". The workshop will be held on 14 and 21 February from 9.00 am to noon and participants will learn about the key ingredients needed for a story that appeals to the reader, as well as how to present your product to publishers or competitions. Free Fashion Workshops

The Sunshine Plaza is holding free fashion workshops where you can learn how to personalise current trends, choose the right style for your body shape, accessorise and transform your look from the day into the night and also have a look at the latest season's fashion, hair and beauty trends. APRIL

Jewellery Workshops - Mesh Magic and Earrings To Go with Jubeadilation

Frances Harper of Jubeadilation is holding the following workshops:

A Mesh Magic jewellery workshop will be held at On Mountain View on Wednesday morning, 8 April. Frances will introduce you to a simple technique to make a mesh framework. You can then decorate the mesh in a variety of ways. There will be a range of beads to choose from, inclusive in the price, but you are welcome to bring your own. You will make either a pendant or a brooch and matching earrings. The workshop costs $29, including beads and other materials, and morning tea.

Earrings to Go is your opportunity to make earrings to go with your existing necklaces and clothes .... or something completely new. Frances will lead this workshop, to be held at Mad Hatter Teashop in Landsborough on the morning of 4 April. The workshop costs $29, including all beads and other materials, and morning tea.

Exploring Exergaming in the Classroom

On the 11th of May 2009, the ICT Learning Innovation Centre at the University of the Sunshine Coast is running a Twilight Session for school staff examining how Exergaming (digital games that also provide exercise) can be used effectively in a number of key learning areas. Photoshop Advanced

Creative Writing Workshop - Finding Your Voice With Sally Collings

Hosted by the Queensland Writers Centre on the 17th May 2009, this workshop will help participants to explore the use of other styles in their writing. Library 21 Workshop

Garden Workshops

There will be a range of workshops and guest speakers on offer at the Rotary Glasshouse Country Garden Expo on 24 May.  Workshops include recycling in your garden and Living Smart Homes, managing and propogating bromeliads and orchid repotting.  The event will be held at the Beerwah Community Hall and Turner Park from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.  For more info contact Bob on 0427606240.

Homegrown Festival
The free Homegrown youth festival will take place at Alex Heads on 20 June as part of the Sunshine Coast Council's Underground Film Festival for Youth (SCRUFFY).  There will be live bands, skateboarding competitions, music workshops and film screenings.  Check out www.myspace.com/homegrownfestival2009

 

Dreamweaver Advanced

Reality Bites Festival - The Truth about Non-Fiction

World Environment Day Eco-Workshops

Tips for Getting Published

This 90 minute workshop is part of the Voices on the Coast Festival hosted by the University of the Sunshine Coast and Immanuel Lutheran College. Held on the 15th of July at Immaunel Lutheran College, it will provide a brief introduction to the publishing industry and how to get published. Voices on the Coast Festival

Hosted by Immanuel Lutheran College on the 15 and 16th of July 2009, this Youth Literary Festival will feature a variety of workshops including:

Cartooning 6 to 166! 

Building a story;

Writing up a storm;

The Hero's Journey-creating world&plot; and

Building Fantasy Worlds.

Changeworks: Mastering the Art of Bouncing Back
